Intro to Quilting - This is a beginner quilting class with
project demonstration and instruction. If you've never quilted before
then enrollment in the Quilting Basics class is highly recommended. In
this class you will work with a rotary cutter, ruler & mat. Each class
night will be creating a project. The quilt block can be made into a
hotpad or multiplied for a larger project. There is a table runner and lap
quilt. See pictures at right.
Supplies: rotary cutter, mat, quilt ruler, fabric

Intermediate Quilting - (aka Strip Club) This class
meets every other month and is great for anyone that has taken an
Introductory class or made a quilt before and wants to move beyond
assembling blocks! You will find this class interesting if you'd like to
explore strip quilting. We will start simple and move to the more
involved as the months go on. There is a project each night!
The 1st 3 sessions will create: simple scrappy table runner/quilt top,
scrappy log cabin table runner/quilt top, and braid table runner with
matching hot pads (hot pads optional).
The 2nd 3 sessions will create: crazy bright table topper.runner/quilt
top, heavenly star table topper/runner/quilt top, strip purse or tote bag.
Supplies: 1/4" foot, scissors, rotary cutter, mat, 5" wide ruler, white or
off white thread, lots of fabric scraps in prints and solids (a jelly roll will
work perfectly for three sessions, but you'll need a neutral fabric for the
boarders as well. Christmas fabric looks great!

2nd session-Wednesdays, Mar 18, May 20, July 15

December Project-of-the-Month -
Quilted Table Mat of Poinsettia's
Using a simple table mat we will embroider a beautiful Poinsettia
design and then frame it with 4 simple quilt strips, a back, and a
binding. When you are finished, you will have a beautiful centerpiece
for your Christmas table.
Supplies: Embroidery machine, large hoop, fabric to make 4 two inch
strips (2 sides, 1 top, 1 bottom border), fabric large enough to cover
back of your project with the added borders, 1/2 yard of fabric to make
binding, sewing foot with 1/4" inch seam allowance, fusible fleece to
be ironed to the fabric prior to cutting, rectangular or square place mat,
rotary cutter and self healing mat, sticky self adhesive tear away
stabilizer, medium tear away, snips, scissors, suggested design-Anita
Goodesigns "Christmas Elegance", Printed template of design to be
stitched, blue water soluble marking pen, bobbins and threads for
design and sewing (for sewing- bring thread to match your binding),
pins or wonder tap to secure back to top for sewing, basting
embroidery designs for your specific hoop, alignment embroidery
designs specifically for your hoop or your hoop insert template.

Stunningly beautiful quilt combining the love of quilting and embroidery
in one amazing project. Each week will focus on the construction of two
quilt blocks. There are many different techniques used in the making of
